We offer courses, a certificate program and conference sessions to help you apply Response-Based Practice.

Learning about Response-Based Practice

Response-Based Practice is for all professionals across institutions and systems that support people who experience interpersonal violence. We offer courses, a certificate program, specialized training and custom conference sessions to, ultimately, limit negative institutional responses for those that have experienced interpersonal violence.

  • Online Course: Taking Children's Resistance Seriously

This three-module online course is for professionals and community members seeking to better support children that have experienced violence.

  • Response-Based Practice Certificate Program

This 8-month specialized program is developed around the framework of Response-Based Practice, relevant across multiple professions.

  • Workshops, Training and Conferences

Myself and the Response-Based Practice team offer group training — remotely and in-person — and customized conference sessions across Turtle Island (Canada) and internationally.

Who is Response-Based Practice for?

Response-Based Practice was created to better support victims/survivors of interpersonal violence as they interact with the systems and institutions that exist to protect them.

Over the past three decades, we have worked with professionals in law enforcement, justice, education, shelters and refuges, child protection, therapy practices, and more, to limit negative institutional responses for those that have experienced interpersonal violence.
